The candidate is expected to demonstrate excellence in the creative use of most of the following technical skills:
- shooting material appropriate to the task set; including controlled use of the camera, attention to framing, variety of shot sizes and close attention to mise en scene
- editing so that meaning is apparent to the viewer and making selective and appropriate use of shot transitions, captions and other effects
- recording and editing sound with images appropriately.
Where a candidate has worked in a group, an excellent contribution to construction is evident.
1. A promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music promo video, together with two of the following: • a digipak for the album’s release; • a magazine advertisement for the digipak.

Reminder of deadlines:
23rd November: Submission of 2nd Rough Cut
14th December: Submission of Final Edit of Music Video
Remember you must also have completed a photo shoot for your advert and digipak by 14th December as well.
18th January: Submission of advert and digipak
20th January: Rough evaluation questions
8th February: Submission of completed blog and digitally presented evaluation questions.

Here is a link to another well presented blog. The evidence of filming is particularly good, so make sure when you shoot you take a stills camera to capture the evidence. The group also created a Facebook page for their project. I know some of you have done this already -well done! Your Facebook page can be used to gather information from your target audience, gather feedback for rough cuts and rough drafts of your products and this can then feed into your evaluation and exam.
